Your support makes a meaningful difference to Beyond Blindness children and families. Our comprehensive Journey of Care® model not only supports children with visual impairments and other disabilities, but the entire family. We believe that when the entire family unit is supported, everyone can thrive.

We are excited to partner with Orange County Community Foundation and other Orange County nonprofits to raise funds through Empowering Possibilities. Funds raised throughout these 24 hours support Beyond Blindness children by providing critical services like early intervention, education and enrichment, and family support. Join us on Wednesday, May 13, for Empowering Possibilities and help us reach our fundraising goal of $50,000.

During these 24 hours, your donation will be doubled thanks to a generous matching grant from the Wilfred M. and Janet A. Roof Foundation and the Caring Path Fund at the Orange County Community Foundation. Thank you for helping make this day of giving one to remember!

Meet Beyond Blindness kiddo, Ethan:

Nine-year-old Ethan Oman was born with a mutation to the SCN2A gene, leading to complications including Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI), respiratory challenges, and seizures. What began as an uncertain and fear, has turned into growth, and hope for the future.

The Oman FamilyFor the Oman family, Beyond Blindness is the place where he receives critical therapy services, where their toddler attends preschool, and where all of their boys have the opportunity to attend inclusive summer camp, together. It’s family-centered care that ensures every child and caregiver has the tools, confidence, and support they need to thrive. Ethan’s journey is a powerful reminder of what’s possible when early intervention, unwavering family support, and an inclusive community come together—transforming uncertainty into progress and hope for the future.
